Compensation
Annual Salary: $93,768 – $118,536 (based on years of experience)
Lateral hires are placed at the step equivalent to their qualified years of service of qualified service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol assigned areas by vehicle, bicycle, or foot to maintain public safety.
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
- Conduct criminal investigations and gather evidence.
- Enforce traffic and criminal laws.
- Engage with the community to solve problems and build trust.
- Provide first aid and emergency response services.
- Prepare reports and testify in court.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
- Colorado POST Basic Certification or Provisional Certification (or ability to obtain prior to hire).
- Minimum of one (1) year of full-time law enforcement experience.
- Successful completion of a field training program.
- Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain a Colorado license).
- Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 60 semester hours of college credit.
- (Waiver available with agreement to complete within five years; tuition assistance provided)
